Mine about to give ‘birth’ to 33 trapped Chileans

Recap:

This article talks about the 33 miners who are to be rescued tomorrow morning from the collapsed mine in Chile, South America. It discusses how they survived and all the media attention around them. They have kept a log book of what happened to them since August 5th, it's an amazing story and they hope to have their log book published. Also many people believe that with all the media attention surrounding them that it will be turned into a movie. It discusses the different miners and what they contribute to the group. Some have taken on leadership roles(mainly the elder men of the group). Also one has ran several kilometres each day through the hot tunnels so that he can stay in shape. These men are amazing amazing in different ways. It took 17 days to discover that they were still alive. Yesterday the men received training through video about how to handle the media and all they want to know. It's an amazing story and all these men are sure to be famous within a matter of days.

Opinion:

It's unbelievable that these men have survived for so long, they have the will power and the courage to carry on. I think that these men will become famous very quickly, I will be one of the millions of people that would love to read their log book and discover more about what happened to them. I would also love to see a movie about it.These men will become famous just like the men who survived in the Andean plane crash in 1972. The article mentions that these men are still asked to talk at functions all around the world and they gained fame when there was a movie made about them. I'm excited to hear the interviews and everything that surrounds the story as these men emerge from the mine sometime tomorrow.

  1. I totally agree with Mac that it is very unbelievable and amazing to hear that the 33 miners can survive for more than two months inside a mine before being rescued. This is because it is longest time that human lives and survives in underground. In addition, the amazement to these miners are not only because they are being rescued, but it is also because of their capability to survive 17 days under ration with only 2 days of food. Same with mac, I would also love to read the log book that the miners has created during the 66 days survival under the mine. This is because it is certain that the log book contains interesting stories. A lot of them would really highlight how their life has changed, and how they have found the strength to live on. Furthermore, It is also very confident to foresee that a movie would come out in few years later. Similar to the Andean plane crash, this movie would be another piece of work that inspire the whole humanity. In another aspect, I think the survival of the 33 miners really demonstrate and extend the physical and mental strength of mankind. Their survival really reflects the importance of group work and peer support within a community. I would really like the 33 miners to come to Canada to have interviews with Canadians, so that we can understanding more about their 66 days survival journey inside a mine.
